ADC Telecommunications, Inc. (ADC) is a global supplier of communications infrastructure solutions and services. These products and services include fiber optic, copper and coaxial-based frames, cabinets, cables, connectors, cards and other physical components essential to enable the delivery of communications for wireline, wireless, cable, broadcast and enterprise networks. The company offers broadband connectivity systems, enterprise systems, wireless transport and coverage optimization systems, business access systems and professional services through two segments of product and service offerings, broadband infrastructure and access, and professional services (previously known as integrated solutions). In May 2004, ADC acquired the KRONE Group, a global supplier of copper- and fiber-based connectivity solutions and cabling products used in public access and enterprise networks by many groups, from GenTek Inc.

The combined Alcatel-Lucent is the world's largest vendor of telecom equipment, with about $25 billion in annual revenue. It produces a wide range of network equipment including broadband-access systems, data-networking gear, optical systems, and wireless systems. The combined company will have a more balanced geographic footprint than its former parents, with post-merger sales being divided roughly in equal thirds among Europe, North America, and the rest of the world. The company provides core network switching and transmission systems for wireline and wireless networks for carriers and enterprises. Other communications products include cell phones, communications cable, and satellite equipment. The company also manufactures transport automation equipment and provides a wide array of services.
